SALARY: £25,000 plus bonus

JOB TYPE: Temporary – Part Time 22.5 hours a week

Role Purpose

  • To proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities and support Regional Sales Managers in the course of their duties. To respond to customer enquiries and assist in the preparation of tender submissions.
  • To actively seek out new business opportunities through a combination of CRM, Google toolsets, industry websites and other media and own initiatives.
  • To contact potential customers by phone to create appointments for the Regional Sales Managers.
  • To meet agreed targets including number of qualified appointments.
  • Maintain daily communication in support of the Regional Sales Managers.
  • To create and manage leads in the CRM system, convert adjust and follow up as appropriate.
  • Maintain pipeline, in conjunction with Regional Sales Managers ensuring details of all communications are logged.
  • To cleanse and housekeep CRM system on a continuous basis.
  • Participate in weekly and quarterly sales meetings for the continuous improvement in lead generation activities, reporting on agreed metrics.
  • Proactively maintain a good understanding of products and services to enable effective communication of the company’s propositions.
  • Seek out opportunities for networking events.
  • Administer tender opportunities, including registering interest and working as a team to fulfil submissions.
  • Support Regional Sales Managers with completion of PQQS, tenders and proposals following up with contributors to ensure deadlines are met and proof reading to ensure quality and relevance of content.
  • Attend Gate 1, 2, and 3 meetings.
  • Complete new customer set up forms sending to other departments as appropriate.
  • Respond to ad-hoc customer requests for information such as insurance certificates, RAMs and training certificates.
  • Providing support with any other tasks as appropriate in support of the sales functions.

 

Experience Required

  • Confident telephone skills or demonstrable success in a targeted, telesales role.
  • Proactive selling skills with the ability to generate new opportunities and handle objections.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable ease of communication with people at all levels in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and demonstrate how propositions will meet those requirements.
  • Drive, self-motivated, ambitious, tenacious and results oriented.
